Udaipur

A mere 40 minutes’ drive away, Udaipur is considered one of the most beautiful cities in India, and was the last capital of the state of Mewar. Founded in 1567 by Maharana Udai Singh on the bank of Lake Pichola, Udaipur is a city of palaces, gardens and lakes. The Lake Palace and the beautiful City Palace (part of which has been converted into a museum housing the largest collection of crystal in the world) are just two of Udaipur’s main attractions.
